Why are Dream Eyewear Australia blue light blocking glasses so important for kids?

Device usage in Australia is increasing at a rapid rate and from an earlier age, while little eyes are still developing. Although we can help control how much time our children are spending using digital technology, we cannot prevent it entirely. Firstly, it all starts with the lens. Whilst there are lenses available that block a higher percentage of blue light emitted from devices, those lenses have been designed for a different purpose. Those lenses are more commonly used for night-time wear or extreme gaming, and they specifically focus on reducing the effects of sleep deprivation. However, those lenses also block turquoise blue light, which is beneficial to the eyes. That is why those blue light lenses are designed to be worn at night-time only.
